  • Sister Act is based on the hit 1992 Whoopi Goldberg film. This uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be found: a convent! Deloris eventually focuses her energy on the choir, and using her voice and disco moves, breathes new life into the church and community. Sister Act is filled with powerful music, exciting dancing and a truly moving story, and we can’t think of a better way to kick off our 35th season.

  • Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella is the new Broadway adaptation of the classic musical. This contemporary take on the classic tale includes the songs we all love, along with an up-to-date, hilarious and romantic libretto by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Cinderella was twice remade for television, first in 1965 for Lesley Ann Warren and then in 1997, featuring THE Brandy and THE Whitney Houston. Cinderella was last seen on the Randy Wilson stage in 2008, and we’re so happy for this princess to bring the magic back to TTC!

  • WE'RE GOING TO THE PROM! Four eccentric Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage and a little attention. So when they hear trouble brewing around a small-town prom, they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and naturally, themselves. When one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, our Broadway stars go on a mission to raise their voices in order to make a difference. In the end, love and acceptance is what brings them and us together. Winner of the Drama Desk Award for Best Musical, THE PROM is pure joy and pure love, both of which we could always use a little more of.

  • Last performed by TTC in 2001, 1776 returns! Witness the birth of our nation as our forefathers struggle to craft the Declaration of Independence. This unconventional Broadway hit puts a human face on the pages of history and lets us see the people behind our national icons. It's the summer of 1776, and the nation is ready to declare independence... if only our founding fathers can agree to do it! 1776 is a funny, insightful, and compelling look at the events that changed the world. With casting open TO ALL, regardless of race or gender, we can’t wait to see who gets to raise their voices to say Sit Down, John.

  • Welcome to the Renaissance and the outrageous, crowd-pleasing musical farce, Something Rotten, which received several Best Musical nominations and was hailed by Time Out New York as "the funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years.” Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that rock star known as "The Bard." When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing, and acting, ALL at the same time, the Bottom brothers set out to write the world’s very first musical. We all know that “nothing’s as amazing as a musical,” and you won’t want to miss this one.

  • TTC has an exciting holiday musical in mind! We'll be announcing it in 2024

Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again]

Performances May 10-12

EVENT SAVI has been keeping the Bard alive in the Brazos Valley, and now she’ll be bringing him to the Randy Wilson Stage, along with Jessica Lemmons and Alanna O’Connell. This trio will be performing THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED) [Revised] [Again]. Even though it features ALL of Shakeapeare’s 37 plays, COMPLETE WORKS will magically be performed in 97 minutes by these three women. It’s fast, it’s funny, it’s hilarious, and perfect for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike. The script was revised in 2010, but we’ll be performing the even more recent “REVISED AGAIN” version, which experts say is exactly 18% more woke.

A Little Night Music

Performances July 5-7

After the success of reuniting our cast of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, we thought another 10 year reunion* was in order. Winner of 4 Tony Awards, A Little Night Music is one of Sondheim’s most elegant pieces. Set in 1900 Sweden, it explores the tangled web of affairs centered around actress Desirée Armfeldt (Wendy Lee) and the men who love her: Count Carl-Magnus, and a lawyer by the name of Fredrik Egerman (Roger Pine). When Desiree performs in Fredrik's town, their meeting causes quite a flurry. Jealousy and suspicion grow between Desiree, the Count, and Fredrik, along with their wives (Stephanie Brown and Cynthia Bradford). When the entire cast ventures out for a weekend in the country together, what could possibly go wrong?

*Auditions for open roles will be announced at a later date.

The Rocky Horror Show

Performances November 1-3

Who’s Holiday

Performances December 19-21

Our two favorite holiday traditions will be back in 2024, each in their seventh year.

Rocky Horror returns after a nearly sold-out run. We’re ready to do the time-warp again, including at our midnight show!

Executive Director Adrienne Dobson will take the stage again as Cindy Lou Who in a wild, hilarious, but surprisingly heartfelt tale of what really happened after she met the Grinch.
