Adrienne Dobson
Executive Director
Adrienne Dobson grew up in San Antonio and moved to the Brazos Valley in 2001. In the fall of 2002, she auditioned for Wizard of Oz, her first show with Randy Wilson at The Theatre Company. She began choreographing at TTC in 2003, beginning with The Secret Garden. For several years, Adrienne worked closely with Randy onstage and off. Favorite roles under his direction include Anita (West Side Story), Diana (A Chorus Line), Beggar Woman (Sweeney Todd), Cinderella/Baker’s Wife (Into the Woods), Ulla (The Producers), Franca (The Light in the Piazza), and Rosie (Bye Bye Birdie). Following the loss of Randy Wilson in 2016, Adrienne was named Artistic Director of The Theatre Company.

Rodney Bettis
Board President
Rodney Bettis, current board president, discovered musical theater relatively late compared to his contemporaries at The Theatre Company. His first show was My Fair Lady right here at The Theatre Company in 2019, where he played Charles, the butler to Mrs. Higgins, as well as an ensemble member. Since that fateful casting, Rodney has participated in or been involved with the majority of productions at TTC. His children, Caden (Mike TV in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and Josie (Ellie Blake in Freaky Friday), have also been part of several productions. Meanwhile, his supportive and spotlight-avoiding wife, Mandy, handles all his front-of-house volunteer commitments that he cannot fulfill because he is on stage.
Rodney has served on the board of directors since 2020, initially as Volunteer Coordinator and later as VP of Development, until his appointment as Board President in mid-2024. When he is not at the theater, he teaches career and technology at SFA Middle School in Bryan or enjoys live music and a craft cocktail. There’s also a rumor that when Santa makes appearances in and around Bryan, he frequently looks quite similar to Rodney.

Pamela Matthews
Past President and Vice President of Development
My introduction to The Theatre Company was almost 40 years ago, when we took our son to performances of what was then ‘imagination Station in downtown Bryan. A few years later, Matthew participated in Randy Wilson’s summer workshops, in main stage performances, and even in the orchestra. TTC gave him a place to feel at home, honed his creative talents, and taught him to believe in himself. Watching TTC do the same for so many others has been incredible to watch, and I’m honored to be able to give something back to an organization that’s been an important part of my family for so long. Serving on the board, actively volunteering, and donating have checked off a few of my goals for retirement after more than three decades as a faculty member and administrator at Texas A&M. TTC is a genuine community treasure, and I want to do all I can to help it continue to grow and thrive.

Dalton Jones
VP of Operations
Dalton Jones, a Bryan native, always had a knack for performing all his life, but it wasn’t until recently that he found TTC in 2021, during a time when the world was having a hard time seeking joy. After his first show, “The Wedding Singer”, he was hooked on what TTC had to offer; a community. Through this community at TTC, he has seen what it takes to bring all sorts of people together to achieve a common goal of presenting exceptional performances to the Bryan/College Station community. Dalton is thrilled to serve on the Board of Directors where he can continue to nurture and showcase everything that this theatre has to offer throughout the Brazos Valley.

Anna Stepanova
Board Secretary
Anna Stepanova is honored to join the board of The Theatre Company. She came to TTC in the spring of 2021 as a theatre mom. She was taken away by the diversity and talent of the local community and wanted to support TTC as a volunteer. Anna has a passion for the arts and service. She has been the chair of the Arts & Culture interest group from the Texas A&M Woman’s Club since 2017, organizing artistic and cultural events for the last six years and learning about the diverse art scenes locally and out of town. Anna has been working at Texas A&M University since 2011. She is currently a researcher at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Anna’s hobbies include reading, sports, and traveling with her family, and she enjoys art and music.

Bryan Adams
Board Member
Bryan has always had a strong passion for the arts, with a deep affinity for music. He has spent much of his life learning instruments, exploring sound, and doing the occasional freelance musician or foley job. In 2022, Bryan began his journey with TTC volunteering in the lobby to support his wife, daughter, and nieces, who were all active members of the theatre. Sadly, tragedy struck his family in November of that year, when one of his nieces, Lorelai, passed away after a long fight with Ewings Sarcoma. Lorelai loved TTC and, after her battle ended, Bryan felt the need to do more for the place and people she loved so much.
Encouraged by Lorelai's passion, his family's continuing enthusiasm, and the incredible theater community, Bryan officially joined the crew during our 2023 season, contributing as a sound designer and soundboard operator for the productions of Cabaret and Freaky Friday. His dedication and appreciation for the TTC community led him to become a member of its board of directors that same year. Bryan, his wife, Patty, daughter, August, and niece, Abigail, hope to spread Lorelai's love and passion to all they can and encourage everyone to #livelikelorelai.

Rick Pulos
Board Member
Rick Pulos is a fourth-year doctoral student in the Department of Communication & Journalism at Texas A&M. He studies the influence of media and popular culture in our everyday lives. He is interested in how mainstream media influences notions of identity and belonging, especially as it relates to race, gender, and sexuality. As an ethnographer, he creates projects that put him into conversation with fans to hear their stories to elucidate how popular culture works for them socially, culturally, and politically. His dissertation project, Queering, Diversifying, and Transforming Media Fandoms will include a traditional text-based research project and a related ethnographic film. He's been on the Board since 2022 and has performed in The Prom, designed projections for Cabaret, and directed 1776: The Music. He also created and runs TTC Teaches which offers low cost theatre workshops to the BCS community.

Crystal Crowell
Crystal Crowell joined the TTC board in 2024, shortly after taking the stage for the first time in TTC’s production of The Prom, followed by The Rocky Horror Show (which her daughter convinced/forced her to be in because…Tim Curry). A long-time musical theatre fan, Crystal often brought her daughter, Addi, to shows at TTC over the years and was inspired by her as she watched Addi bravely audition and perform in shows herself beginning with Descendants in 2022. Crystal also serves as the Executive Director of the Brazos Valley Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse (BVCASA), a local nonprofit organization in Bryan. In her spare (?) time, Crystal plays classical piano, reads mindless YA fiction, bedazzles books, and promises to someday learn how to use her sewing machine.

Bryan Rodarte
Bryan is absolutely thrilled and honored to be a part of the TTC Board of Directors! A transplant from Houston, he has been in the BCS area for 10 years now. He first moved to the area back in 2015 to attend nursing school. Nursing school required many long hours of hard work and dedication so he was unable to venture into the theater community of BCS initially. But, his first experience with TTC was coming to see Freaky Friday, starring the executive director herself! He remembers seeing the show and thinking how professional and amazing the production was. And with a live orchestra, that's amazing! He knew then that he wanted to be a part of this amazing organization. He decided to dive in head first and auditioned for a show, and with some luck was cast in a lead role in The Prom. It was during that show that he saw what a truly amazing, accepting, and loving organization TTC is and he decided that he wanted to make the theater his second home. He was accepted to the Board of Directors in 2024 and has been working behind the scenes with the rest of the Board to make sure that TTC continues to provide a space full of acceptance, love, and amazing shows to anyone who comes looking.

Douglass Wunneberger
Board Treasurer
Douglas Wunneburger is honored to join TTC as a new board member. For 13 years as a Bryan ISD Trustee, he served as a strong advocate for public school support of fine arts in BISD and across the state. He is experienced on the stage as a lead (SOUND OF MUSIC) and supporting actor (MARY POPPINS, GODSPELL, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF). He has also performed at TTC and other venues in the orchestra (MUSIC MAN, CRAZY FOR YOU, WIZARD OF OZ) and hopes that his experience as an actor/musician and in school board service will benefit the TTC Board in its quest to provide quality musical experiences for the community. Doug is proud of his family, Patricia, Anne, Abby, and Aaron, all accomplished actors and musicians in their own rights. He looks forward to serving on the TTC board and is excited to see our talented casts in ELF and in the upcoming season.

Zienna Blackwell
Zienna Blackwell has always been a lover of the arts but claims she lacks musical and acting talent. She actively avoids the spotlight and opts to help where needed behind the scenes. Zienna’s love for theatre began when she attended the Rocky Horror Picture Show at a community theatre at the ripe age of 19. Since that show, Zienna has never missed a year of seeing Rocky. Surprisingly enough, Rocky wasn’t Zienna’s first show at TTC. Zienna moved to Texas in November of 2023 and within a week had already found TTC when she attended Who’s Holiday. She quickly fell in love with the venue and the people and became a regular patron. A few months later, Zienna jumped at the chance to join TTC board as an opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of TTC, meet the coolest people in the area, and to give back to her new community. In daily life, Zienna is the inaugural Director of Prevention & Population Health with University Health Services at Texas A&M. She lives in College Station with her two tree-climbing, escape artists, and overall trouble-making dachshunds.

Catherine Hervey
Catherine Hervey is a board member of The Theatre Company with over 20 years of theater experience. She holds an MFA in Visualization from Texas A&M and provides support for the company’s ticketing platform. Catherine met her husband through theater and now shares that love with their daughter. She also occasionally volunteers backstage during productions, keeping the family’s passion for the stage alive.
-
Jenna Dwokin
Jenna grew up in the Northeast and trained as a classical and modern dancer with The Harrisburg Ballet, Phildanco, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Her love of community theater first started when she saw her grandfather in a production of “1776”, now his great-granddaughters grace the stage at TTC! Jenna serves as the Development Director at Voices for Children in Bryan, and has a passion for fundraising and heart for non profits. When she’s not ubering her girls to rehearsals, she enjoys knitting, baking, and catching up with friends and family.

Alli Harrell
Board Member
Allison “Alli” Harrell has loved musical theater for as long as she can remember. She hails from Fort Worth, Texas where she grew up participating in local and school theater productions, and made her way to B/CS in 2003 by way of Texas A&M studying Speech Communication and Theater Arts. She joined the Theatre Company family in 2013 as part of the cast of 9 to 5. Since then, she has participated in multiple TTC productions and remained an enthusiastic audience member and supporter.
Allison is excited to serve on the Board because she believes deeply in what musical theater brings to a community: connection, confidence, creativity, and the kind of life skills that stay with you long after the curtain comes down… all wrapped up in endless imagination and magic. Being on the Board is a chance to help keep that magic thriving at TTC.
Outside the theater, Allison has built her career with Bryan Broadcasting for over 20 years. She spent seven years on the Candy 95 morning show as half of “Morning Candy with Frito & Alli” and now serves as the Local Sales Manager, helping area businesses share their stories through advertising.
She’s married to her wonderful husband, Chris (who you’ll probably spot volunteering at the theater too!), sings with the Brazos Valley Chorale, and is a proud dog mom to her sweet pups, Snoop and Shadow.

Jesse Carswell
Business Manager
Jesse moved to B/CS in 2013 to attend Texas A&M and has been here ever since. She has her B.S. in Environmental Studies and an M.S. in Environmental Policy Management. By day, she is a Sustainability Data Analyst and by night, she is the Business Manager for TTC. She started volunteering in 2021 with Elf and fell in love with the community because it immediately felt like home. She’s since then done costumes, hair and makeup, props, and stage managed.
She has a wonderful husband and two beautiful boys who you will often see at the theatre helping out in some way
