Hedwig AND THE ANGRY INCH
Thursday, June 25 - Saturday, June 27
HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH follows Hedwig, a queer East German rock singer-songwriter who survived a botched sex-change operation and immigrated to the U.S. While touring dive bars and small theatres, Hedwig tells her life story through glam-rock anthems and darkly comic monologues, Hedwig recounts her journey from East Berlin to a trailer park in Kansas, ultimately finding redemption through self-acceptance rather than the love or fame she's been chasing.
Rick Pulos directs with Bran Kempf playing the internationally ignored song stylist . Rick is excited to bring Hedwig to the Brazos Valley. "Hedwig is a witty and powerful show about one of the most fascinating characters in all of American musical history. With a punk rock aesthetic and attitude, Hedwig will have you laughing, crying, and thinking about what it means to be an American."
This show is Rated R.
