Sewing Saturdays: Basic Alterations

April 13: Basic Alterations (hemming, waistbands, letting bodices/shoulders in or out)

TTC Teaches is excited to create a space for anyone who is interested in learning sewing. In addition to our basic sewing workshop which will be offered multiple times a year, we will be opening our doors on Saturdays for folks to learn and work together. You can come with a project you need help with, you can bring your sewing machine if you need assistance working with that, or you can just come to learn and sew alongside others. The first hour will include instruction, the second hour will be free-sewing/open studio/drop-in. Please bring your own sewing machine or reach out at rick@theatrecpompany.com if you will need to use one from TTC.

OPEN AUDITIONS: The Prom

TTC auditions are open to ALL! While the story THE PROM does focus on a high school prom, the cast calls for several adults to fill principle roles, as well as multiple roles for the students.

The town’s parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow—but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town just has to get involved. A group of Broadway stars hear about the issue and go on a mission to raise their voices, joining forces with one courageous young girl and the town’s brave citizens in order to make a difference. In the end, love and acceptance is what brings them and us together. Winner of the Drama Desk Award for Best Musical, THE PROM is pure joy and pure love, both of which we could always use a little more of.

Callbacks will take place on Wednesday, April 17 at 6pm. Click the link below for more information and to sign up to audition.

OPEN AUDITIONS: 1776

TTC auditions are open to ALL! While 1776 is historically performed by a primarily male cast, TTC’s production is open to all genders, races, and identities. We are striving to look back at 1776 through the lense of what America looks like today!

It's the summer of 1776, and the nation is ready to declare independence... if only our founding fathers can agree to do it! We’ll follow John Adams of Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia as they attempt to convince the members of the Second Continental Congress to vote for independence from the shackles of the British monarchy. 1776 is a funny, insightful, and compelling look at the events that changed the world. With casting open TO ALL, regardless of race or gender, we can’t wait to see who gets to raise their voices to say Sit Down, John.

Callbacks will take place on Tuesday, July 8 at 6pm. Click the link below for more information, and we will share a signup form as the audition date approaches.
